Mena Nunes is the owner of Maad Productions for over 14 years. She has a BAA in Animation from Sheridan College. She is also a member of IWS Canada, Canadian Glaze Oil Society, Mississauga Watercolour Society, Toronto Watercolour Society and an organizing member of the Figurative Expressions Group for10 years. Her passion for her art continues to grow with each year.

Mena finds it particularly enjoyable when artwork conveys an emotional response from the viewer. A film, painting or drawing should engage the audience to think of an idea, a feeling, or the unlimited possibilities that  individuals or as a society have.

She is  presently working on developing her own style in both traditional and digital media, and searching for her voice in artwork.

 Mena's paintings have been shown in Toronto and Mississauga in Ontario, Canada. Her two short animated films “Shadows on the Wall” and “Dare to Dream” have been to festivals in Canada and the US. “Shadows on the Wall” was nominated for Best First Animated Short at the Animazing Spotlight Festival in 2009.
